Barry Cox has worked as a horse trainer, cowboy and saddle maker for most of his life, and has packed into the Minam and Snake River area for over 40 years. Del Sol is proud to offer Wilderness adventures that encompass the old west traditions and take clients into the unique and stunning reaches of the Eagle Cap and Snake River Wilderness. With a lifetime of training horses, and pursuing his passion of riding the wilderness on horseback, Barry has over 50 animals in the working pack-string, raised and trained specifically to take you and yours safely into the wild.

Trips range from 3 - 5 days and are hosted at our leased camp in the Lakes Basin area. We also offer progressive trips where we set up up your camp on the fly and provide a mobile adventure to a location of your choosing (please inquire for more information). Wilderness adventures include a chef, wranglers, and day trips on horseback or by foot to destinations within the Wallowa-Whitman national forest area.
